Mormons at
the CIA?
A CIA recruiter told the Salt
Lake Tribune that returned missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who served in South America are
valued assets in the CIA because of several characteristics: Foreign language skills, abstinence from drugs and alcohol, and
their ability to integrate with the local customs and a respect for authority.
The church’s private university, Brigham Young University or BYU is also a focal point
for recruitment. A professor of Foreign Studies said, “With a degree from BYU, the CIA and FBI hire almost all who apply.”
The unnamed CIA recruiter said, “The number of Mormons who work for the CIA and FBI is disproportionate compared to
other private and government agencies.”

There more LDS fiction writer than in any other religion?
Orson Scott Card, Award wining Science Fiction writer said, "Mormons are theologically
not so far removed from science fiction. We literally believe that God has created sentient beings on other worlds, that there
really is faster-than-light travel and that God can go hither and yon. In many cases, we are writing about a universe we have
already thought about from childhood on." (Publishers Weekly, Other Worlds, Suffused With Religion, 4/16/01)

Influence and Growth of Mormon Church
“A Yale Professor,
Harold Bloom and a reporter for the New Yorker made an astute observation. ‘There will come a time with Mormons are
so numerous and so wealthy that governing our democracy will become impossible without Mormon cooperation.’ Even now
this is becoming a reality, with only 1.8 of the US population being Mormon.

Mormon Doctrine:
The reckoning of God's time, angel's time, prophet's time, and man's
time, is according to the planet on which they reside. (Doctrine and Covenants, 130:4.)
And were it possible that man could number the partials of the
earth, yea, millions of earths like this, it would not be a beginning to the number of thy creations. (Pearl of Great Price:
Moses 7:30)
This would seem to suggest that
they have fundamental acceptance that other people reside on other planets. More…
There are many worlds that have passed away.... And there are many that now
stand ... " (Pearl of Great Price: Moses 1:35)
The worlds are and were created and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God (Doctrine and Covenants,
76:24).
Worlds without number have I created.
(Pearl of Great Price: Moses 1:33)
To follow on that thought a few words from their leadership.
"We are not the only people that the Lord has created. We have brothers
and sisters on other earths. They look like us because they, too, are the children of God and were created in his image.”
(Doctrines of Salvation: 1:62).
"We do not know how many
inhabited worlds there are, or where they are. But certainly we are not alone." (A Wonderful Flood of Light p.25, Neal
A. Maxwell.)
